Tennis Wales is taking to the road this month to meet players, coaches, officials and volunteers throughout the country.

The Tennis Wales Roadshows, which begin in Newtown on October 7, will bring tennis people up to date with news and information from Tennis Wales and the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) as well as other partners.

“We will be looking at the changes and improvements to the tennis club award, now known as Tennismark, introducing some of the new IT online tools available to our registered venues, and reviewing the success of the Great British Tennis Weekends, which offered free tennis during the summer,” said Tennis Wales chief executive, Peter Drew..

“We will continue to be different and work innovatively as we move forward with Great British Tennis Weekends next year, and showcase some great examples of venues getting more people playing more often.”

The dates and venues of the roadshows are:

7th October, 7pm to 9pm, Newtown;
8th October, 7pm to 9pm, James Alexander Barr Tennis Centre;
9th October, 7pm to 9pm, Wrexham Tennis Centre;
13th October, 6:30pm to 8:30pm, Haverfordwest Leisure Centre;
14th October, 6:30pm to 8:30pm, Brecon Leisure Centre;
15th October, 6:30pm to 8:30pm, Newport Tennis Centre;
16th October, 6:30pm to 8:30pm, Swansea Leisure Centre;
20th October, 6:30pm to 8:30pm, Penarth Windsor;
21st October, 6:30pm to 8:30pm, Taff’s Well.
