Scorch is the WRU mascot and this year as part of the RBS 6 Nations competition Welsh Libraries will be running a competition to encourage children to discover new things in their local library.
Library staff will be able to download and print artwork of Scorch the dragon and hide him in the library. Children will be encouraged to search the library to find Scorch and be entered into a prize draw to win a Wales Rugby Union shirt.
This competition is open to any existing members of the library (aged 12 and under). The competition will run from the 7th February 2016 (the first Wales 6 nations match) – 19th March 2016 (the last game of the 6 nations).
Entrants must inform library staff of the whereabouts of ‘Scorch’ in the library and give a contact name/telephone number.
Staff must collect the details of all entries and select one winner at random. The Welsh Libraries marketing team will then randomly select 2 local authorities to win the Wales rugby shirts. There will be a selection of smaller prizes available to all authorities that take part (WRU Wallets, pin badges, WRU top trumps, Scorch activity packs and WRU rubber ducks).
