Players from Cardiff, Swansea and Newport took the honours at the annual South Wales tennis championships.

More than 100 players took part in 140 matches over four days at Cardiff Metropolitan University and David Lloyd, Cardiff.

“The tournament was played in great spirit,” said Paul Pritchard, of Black Dog Tennis, who organised the competition for Tennis Wales. “It’s a good excuse to get out of the house during the holiday period and run off some of that Christmas dinner!”
