Submitting articles
We accept submissions of copy ready press releases from companies, organisations and the public. At the moment, we do not have the facility or staff to write our own in house articles, but we are looking for volunteers.
Please read the following guidelines before submitting a press release to avoid rejection, including publication fees where applicable.
Submissions must be:
- Appropriate for a general audience and the geographical location of Rhondda Cynon Taff.
- Copy/paste ready. We do not currently re-write, edit or correct spelling mistakes.
- Black text on white with a clear typography and use the same font throughout
- Fact checked for accuracy.
- Reference images (if used) at the end of the article with a suitable caption.
- Reference external website links at the end of the article
- You must have full permission for any images used, or be your own photographs.
- Images must be send as attachments in JPG format
Submissions must not:
- Have any defamatory content, or break any laws!
- Rely on or have colour text or typefaces.
- Have images embedded within the article itself. Instead please send them as attachments.
- Use images that are copyrighted or belong to anyone else.
- Promote gambling or tobacco products.
By submitting an article for consideration you are declaring that the work is your own or you have permission off the copyright owner, and you take full responsibility for the article and any defamation resulting from it. Submission of an article does not guarantee publication and we reserve the right to refuse publication without reason.
Rate card (charges)
Not all submissions are free (but most are), please read the following rate card scenarios and if required make a donation below.
Scenario A.
You are a member of the public, volunteer, amateur enthusiast, educational institute or other non commercial, non profit making community group, or local town council.
Article submissions for you are free but we encourage voluntary donations to our running costs.
Scenario B.
You are a commercial business, public relations, marketing, promotional company who is receiving payment for publicising your clients press release that is newsworthy and in the public interest, and does not contain promotional links or affiliated links.
Article submissions are free but we encourage voluntary donations by clicking here to our running costs.
Scenario C.
As B above but the article contains promotional backs links to a website or affiliated links, media stream, promoted product.
For regular articles, please contact us to set up a monthly subscription payable by direct debit.
Sponsorship and donations
This website is NOT a commercially run outlet, it relies on volunteers and the good will of donors to keep it running.
Without volunteers and donations this site would not be able to continue to exist, and certainly not be advertisement free (unlike some other advert heavy websites).
Our main expenses are the hosting cost and we believe our volunteers should one day receive a payment for their work.
