World of Words gets Millennium Stadium Trust Fund help!

by Rob Jones

World of Words (WOW) is a literacy and language scheme that runs in RCT primary schools and to date that has involved 18 partnerships and over 1800 children. WOW is delighted to have received funding from the Millennium Stadium Trust Fund. This support will be essential over the next year and a lot of hard work has paid off. It is many thanks to a renowned and respected trust for their support of a progressive project-and so much good work can be achieved via this support.

The WOW project which originally started as Only Boys Allowed in January 2009 became a non profit social enterprise in July 2011 and since that date World of Words has made an impact across the valleys. The programme also rewards kids and their nearest and dearest and that has meant a series of wonderful free experiences such as tickets to watch Wales play soccer, taking on mascot duties at Pontypridd RFC and passes to playschemes such as Rumble in the Jungle (Clydach Vale).
