Mountain Ash, Rhondda Cynon Taff – Samadhi Retreats & Meditation have announced a series of new group classes to be held online in 2021 for those struggling with loneliness and anxiety due to the latest lockdown. These classes offer a way for the people of South Wales to gain greater peace of mind in the face of adversity and improve their mental and emotional health.

“We know that a lot of people are dealing with anxiety, fear and stress – especially with the announcement of the latest lockdown,” says David Johnson, the Co-Founder of Samadhi. “We wanted to help people find a balance in all the emotional ups and downs. For many, it’s one emotional rollercoaster after another and it’s exhausting – but it doesn’t have to be this way. Drawing on personal experience of meditation, psychology, and Buddhist wisdom, we want to help people unwind, relax, let go of things like stress and anxiety, and cultivate positive minds such as patience and compassion.”

Samadhi will be offering a 5-week online course called ‘Becoming Bulletproof: Emotional Resilience’ from Tuesday, 5 Jan 2021, which will allow people to come together as a group, to learn and understand their emotions, and the role in which meditation and Buddhist psychology can help them to become happier, more positive, and peaceful people.

Samadhi will also be offering shorter, free guided meditations online every Sunday from January 2021, for those who wish to drop in.

Meditation is a method for calming the mind and developing a positive approach to life. It has numerous benefits for the health of both body and mind, is easy to do, and something everyone can learn. The sessions with Samadhi will explore the inner causes of stress, anxiety, and provide the participant with tips and innovative ways of thinking to calm and de-stress at home.

Booking is available immediately at £30 for the 5-week course and for free for the Sunday sessions. There is a £10 discount available for NHS workers, and an exclusive discount of £5 for those who come from Rhondda Cynon Taff Gazette using the code RCTGAZETTE5 at the time of booking.
