It was exciting, exhilarating and excellent! On a cold, dark November night the fans of Wales came out in force to shout on the team against Iceland. Everyone in reality never expected Wales to trounce Iceland and then pointless Montenegro to grab their first three at the expense of the pre- match group leaders Turkey. However, football is a funny old game and on this occasion for Welsh fans it was hilarious as our boys in red romped to victory and the Turks crumbled.
Wales win their Nations League section and it is promotion up to the European elite! Hurrah!
There was even more celebration as World of Words i.e. www.worldofwords.education gave tickets to one of its youngsters in lieu of his contribution to our WOW sessions at Cwmclydach Primary School. The prized pupil Jack has shown enthusiasm and energy in classes and he had his rewards watching Wales win 4-1. The prize enabled him along with his dad and grandad to be at the game free of charge and to witness the trio enjoy the occasion gave a lot of satisfaction to World of Words – and once again proved the importance of the work of the well-being group. The gratitude shown for the gift of the tickets was also a joy to behold and it was thanks for that thanks.
