The legendary Lloyd Cole announces a rare concert in Cardiff as part of what could be his last ever UK tour!

Originally the frontman for Lloyd Cole and The Commotions, whose debut album Rattlesnakes rapidly went gold and earned itself a spot in NME’s Top 100 Albums of All-Time, he began cultivating a solo project in New York during the dawn of the 90’s.

Having already found stardom with his Glaswegian counterparts, his subsequent work cemented public opinion of his individual brilliance. 1990 and 1991 saw the release of two consecutively acclaimed albums, setting the tone for his future years – a time in which he consistently maintained a reputation for original and compelling songwriting.

Lloyd now has a total of 12 albums under his belt, the most recent of which, 2013‘s Standards, was inspired by Bob Dylan’s album Tempest. Daringly different from his usual acoustic style yet as masterful as ever, it demonstrates a resistance to expectation and a musician’s true devotion to his art.

This tour’s performances will feature a mix of his new material and plenty of numbers from his illustrious back catalogue. Remember, this may well be the last chance you get to see him perform!
