Age Connects Morgannwg (ACM), the local older people’s charity, has recently relocated from their office in Principality House, to Mill Street, Pontypridd, CF37 2SN.

The new space, which shares premises with the current Post Office, is the main hub for their Information and Advice service and their successful Nail Cutting Clinic called Simply Nails.

The charity offers a drop-in and telephone service for people who may need information and advice about a range of issues such social care, housing, help at home and a range of money matters including advice and support to access welfare benefits. The team at Mill Street are also able to help people plan for their future with the charity’s range of Golden Charter Funeral Plans and its Will-writing Scheme, in partnership with Hek Jones Solicitors.

The charity has existed since 1977 and continues to grow and develop to help and support older people living in Rhondda Cynon Taf, Bridgend and Merthyr Tydfil. Their dedicated staff and volunteer team offer independent and confidential information, advice and support on a variety of issues that arise through some of the most difficult times in an older person’s life.

They are committed to serving older people and connecting them to communities, with every penny from donations and legacies going to the local community.
