Cwmclydach Primary School has forged an extremely productive bond with World of Words (WOW) I.e. www.worldofwords.education. WOW, the non-profit children’s literacy and well-being group has also formed a strong tie with the acclaimed author, Jenny Sullivan. The World of Words presence at Cwmclydach Primary has taken the link up with Jenny a step further. The Welsh wordsmith has done a string of online presentations for the school over the last few years.

Jenny has made the connection from her French home to the Rhondda Valley and in the mean time she has made many friends at Cwmclydach Primary via her array of stories and sessions on screen. This union has gone even further as Jenny has written a book which features the school both on its cover and in its contents with the first names of the pupils being used in the text.

Jenny closes the publication with this comment: ‘I’d like to dedicate this book to all of the children and staff of Cwmclydach Primary – and the owls who have resided in the school’s eaves for more than 30 years and whose presence triggered this book – and, also to Rob Jones to whose group WOW will get all proceeds from this book. If any school wishes to know more about employing WOW please call 07981 633361 or email worldofwordswales@gmail.com

Cwmclydach Primary are extremely grateful to Jenny for all of her energy and expertise and to be the focal point of a published novel is a triumph for the school. WOW are also delighted to get the support of Jenny and reading in the Rhondda is certainly a beneficiary.

The book is available on Amazon at £4.50 for the paperback and £2 for the Kindle version. Here is the Amazon link below:
