No one needs to remind you what time of year it is, Christmas toys, decorations and Cards are all in the shops. Twinkling lights are appearing in windows, carol concerts are taking place and the famous ‘Holidays are coming’ coke adverts have started.

But living in RCT we are very lucky to have more than this on offer.  The council, like every year have organised and arranged a variety of Christmas things to do which began in November and will run right through December.

On offer are Christmas arts and crafts, Tree festivals, Christmas markets, Santa’s Grottos, Christmas lights, Pantomime’s and even a 5K Santa Run.

From Tonypandy to Aberdare, from Ferndale to Pontypridd there is plenty happening for families to enjoy this Christmas.
And for something a little different and educational this Christmas, why not take the kids to the Rhys Cycle safari, where they have a purpose built Grotto and Santa gives ‘green’ themed gifts made from recyclable materials.  This is a great way of teaching the children to recycle this time of year, especially with all the wrapping paper, cards and packaging that will be lying around the house.
