We are very excited to announce an extra special concert at The Globe – this co-headline event with legends Neville Staple and The Dub Pistols as part of their joint UK tour!!
These exclusive UK dates champion the release of Neville Staple’s forthcoming album Past and Present and the recent release of The Dub Pistols’ sixth studio album White Lines, on which Neville features.
Neville Staple is famed for fronting two-tone luminaries The Specials alongside Terry Hall. One of the most influential bands of all time, The Specials burst onto the scene in the late 70’s, catching the imagination of the disaffected British youth.
Securing a top-ten spot with their debut single Gangsters, which was their first of seven consecutive top-ten hits, their eponymously named debut album quickly became a landmark release. Indeed, it remains on many Best Album Of All Time lists, having changed the face of British pop music forever.
Mixing up drum n’ bass, dub, ska, punk, hip-hop and electronica, The Dub Pistols are in many ways a 21st century version of The Specials. Formed by Barry Ashworth, who was heavily influenced by The Specials, they have been an infectious live force since their 1998 inception.
Known for their skank-inducing UK charting singles, The Dub Pistols have contributed prolifically to film and video game soundtracks, including Blade II, Bad Company, Mystery Men, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2, EA Sports’ FIFA and Tiger Woods’ PGA Tour.
Do not miss these two incredible acts as they join forces at The Globe!
