WITH SPECIAL GUESTS: OASISH (LIVE)

TICKETS ON SALE NOW HERE

Legendary music mogul – ALAN McGEE – will be appearing at MONMOUTH’S SAVOY THEATRE for a very special Oasis-themed Q&A show.

Taking place on the 2nd October, the event will mark exactly 26 years to-the-day since Oasis released their landmark album ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory’. The album, which was notably recorded at Monmouth’s own Rockfield Studios, went on to sell a record-breaking 345,000 copies in its first week alone upon its release in 1995 and spent a further 10 weeks at the number one spot.

As the man who famously signed Oasis to his infamous Creation Records label, ‘An Evening With… Alan McGee’ will see Alan returning to Monmouth to discuss the album in-depth before taking questions from the audience.

Hosted by The Oasis Podcast, the night promises to be a celebration of that classic album that gave the world “Wonderwall”, “Champagne Supernova”, “Don’t Look Back In Anger” and more, and its legacy all these years later.

Adding to the occasion, a special guest appearance from the UK’s official No.1 top tribute act: Oasish will see the multi award winning Oasis tribute band performing the album live and in-full on the evening.

Tickets are priced from £17.50 and are on sale now here: https://monmouth-savoy.ticketsolve.com/shows/873614196

Alan McGee is a renowned mogul and maverick of the music industry. In 1983 he founded the iconic Creation Records, signing stars including Oasis, Super Furry Animals, Ride and Primal Scream to The Jesus & Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine, Felt and The House Of Love. After announcing his departure from Creation in 1999, McGee went on to found a new label Poptones in 2000 and run Death Disco, an international club night. In 2018, he launched a new label, Creation 23, before morphing into his current It’s Creation Baby label earlier this year with the aim of bringing the world an array of brand new talent including The Clockworks, D.O.T.H.S, Cat SFX and more. 2021 also saw the release of the hit biopic Creation Stories (directed by Nick Moran) which put McGee’s legendary life story to film for the first time.
