SHED SEVEN

‘GOING FOR GOLD’ DELUXE VINYL RE-ISSUE

WITH SPECIAL GUESTS: THE TWANG

‘Going For Gold’

Marking the 20th Anniversary of their seminal singles collection – SHED SEVEN – are pleased to announce a deluxe expanded edition of: ‘Going For Gold’.

A gold-coloured vinyl compilation will be something of a victory lap of the band’s historic Britpop years. With all featured tracks written and recorded by the original line-up of Shed Seven, the compilation brings together the very best of the band’s first three studio albums (‘Change Giver,’ ‘Maximum High,’ & ‘Let It Ride’), plus the twelve Top 40 singles clocked-up from their formation up to 1999. The album has been newly remastered in full at the iconic Abbey Road Studios, London.

This deluxe two-vinyl set will also include the Parr Street Sessions; four fan favourites exclusively reimagined and recorded for the 1999 special edition CD version of ‘Going For Gold’ and now available on vinyl for the first time. The 2019 re-issue will also feature two previously unreleased live tracks from Shed Seven’s legendary Live at The Forum performance (recorded in London, 15.11.1996).

Since rising to fame in the 90s as one of the leading lights of Britpop, in 2017 Shed Seven released their first new album in 16 years ‘Instant Pleasures’, which went top ten and achieved acclaim across the board. In 2019, the Sheds will now release their ‘Going For Gold’ re-issue as they fittingly look forward to a tour of true champions.

Booked-in for marathon UK stint of dates, Shed Seven will be performing at some of the nation’s most capacious halls throughout November and December 2019, including a home county show at Leeds First Direct Arena – their first ever headline arena show! The tour which also marks the 25th anniversary of their first album release will feature a mix of Sheds classics and choice cuts from ‘Instant Pleasures’ including fan favourites ‘Room In My House’ and ‘Better Days’.

Of the upcoming tour Rick Witter said:

“We can’t wait to get back out on the road later this year to play some of our favourite venues and visit some brand new places. It’s always been the bands ambition to play an Arena show and we are absolutely thrilled that finally we are getting to do this in our home county Yorkshire!! See you at the front.”

Due to phenomenal demand the band recently announced additional shows at Glasgow O2 Academy, London’s O2 Academy Brixton and Manchester O2 Victoria Warehouse. For full details of all dates please see below. Tickets for all shows are on sale now via www.gigsandtours.com / www.ticketmaster.co.uk

Shed Seven have just released ‘Going For Gold – The Greatest Hits’. Available on double 180g Gold Coloured vinyl in a Gold gatefold sleeve, the package will feature a 12×12 art print, plus a SoV digital download code. Full track-listing as follows:
